While searching for gluten free restaurants in Iowa I have come across a few 100% gluten free bakeries. Most of them are at home bakeries run with passion and love. All of the bakeries are very familiar with celiac disease, cross contamination and they are making delicious gluten free products for their communities.

Ami’s Cakes & Confections is a gluten free home based bakery. It’s not a certified facility, but it is celiac safe and everything is made gluten free under the guidelines of the Iowa Cottage Food Laws.
The owner, Ami Frank, has a child with celiac disease and she works hard to ensure cross contamination doesn’t ruin anyones day. Ami’s Cakes makes wedding cakes and she has a talent for creating kid friendly designs and elegant treats for adults.

The owner, Chantal Papousek, has celiac disease so you know everything is made safely. They are usually well stocked with items so stop by anytime.
New Beginnings has a variety of delicious products including cupcakes, cookies, cinnamon rolls, bars, cakes and donuts. Yes, lots of donuts. And if you have celiac disease you know how hard it is to find a (non-frozen) donut!
